POP-UP WALKING GROUP AND RUN CLUB – SAVE THE DATE!

This September we are launching a once a month pop–up walking group. Our first one is on Saturday, 1st September at 8:00 am to 9:00 am. Just in time for the warmer weather, bring on Spring!

It's for all our members and you can bring a friend for free – the perfect opportunity to get others involved in active living with you. Meet outside Willows ready to walk on one of the many pathways in the area and we'll finish with some gentle stretches back at HQ.

Did you know?

Walking for an average of 30 minutes a day can lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes by 30 to 40 per cent. Brisk walking for 30 minutes a day, five days a week, has been shown to increase life expectancy by up to three years.

Why walk if you can run…

Run Club will be back soon too! If walking is not for you, join Coach Craig on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:00 am to pound the path. Kicking off September 4th - all fitness levels are welcome.

SENIORS WEEK - 18th - 26th August

Willows Story - Your Why!

Emma's wellbeing story:

“Look for more reasons to go than excuses not to. I was lucky because I grew up with parents who always worked out, showing me the importance of staying active. I started using a gym when I was 17 years old. It has been the best way to look after my physical body and emotional health. I set realistic goals, work hard and don’t make excuses. I keep it consistent and never miss too many days or I find I get out of rhythm.

My motivation is to be the best I can be and to stay one step ahead when it comes to my health. I love to try out new opportunities and to find the most enjoyable exercise programs and classes to keep it fun and challenging. I don’t compare myself to others as it is a personal journey.

I always feel better after a workout and I am more positive in my thinking. You have two choices in life – either you do or you don’t. Why not really live!” - Emma
