Welcome to Willows Healthy Hearts Challenge. Over the next couple of weeks, Willows is challenging you to improve your heart health. Step it up with us and increase your life expectancy by participating in the four fun activities below. It’s about a better you – learn . integrate . be.

We are excited, complete all four activities and go in the draw to win a Willows Prize Pack to keep you motivated on your wellbeing journey.

You can also get involved by participating in our interactive Heart Foundation display and gold coin donation fundraising campaign located at Willows HQ reception. Support ongoing research and help to increase heart health awareness within the community, all resulting in saving loved one’s lives. Cardiovascular disease kills one Australian every 12 minutes, let’s be the change.

 

Activity 1: Are You Aware!

Activity 2: Step It Up!

Activity 3: Get Your Heart Pumping!

How active are you? Raising your heart rate provides many short term and long term health benefits. 30 minutes, 5 times a week will build your overall fitness level, increase the oxygen in your blood, and alongside movement, make our muscles more efficient. Come on in to Willows and participate in one of our fun Group Fitness Classes – get your heart pumping. Which class are you in for?

Activity 4: Step It Up – Join Us For A Fun, Community 2.5 KM Walk On Sunday, 5 May at 8:00am to 9:00am.

The Heart Foundation’s Heart Week 2018 is from Sunday 29 April – Saturday 5 May. Did you know that 82% of their funding comes from people like you? Come walking with us at Willows, join us on Sunday, 5 May at 8:00am for a fun, easy paced walk starting and finishing at Willows.  Invite your friends and family, it’s for everyone in the community, at any fitness level. Bring those gold coins ready to donate to the Heart Foundation.
